Attention in marketing is the act of keeping the consumer’s mind closely on something – their mental concentration. Intensity is also to be considered – this is the intensity of which attention is applied.

This attention concept is vital for all products and services, as before firms can get consumers to pay a price for a product, they must first get their attention.
